Alan Singleton has been involved in providing short and long term credit to agricultural enterprises for over 30 years. His experience includes working with farmers and ranchers across a large portion of the United States, including production of numerous agricultural commodities. After graduating from Indiana University with a degree in Economics, Alan joined the Farm Credit System - starting at Green River PCA in western Kentucky and then with the Louisville District Farm Credit Banks. Since 1989, Alan has been active in agricultural secondary market lending. He has also been an instructor for various agricultural credit seminars sponsored by the American Bankers Association, Independent Bankers Association, and The Risk Management Association. He has co-authored articles in the Purdue University Ag-Economics Newsletter and The Journal of Lending & Credit Risk Management.

Don Mattern brings 35 years of finance and agricultural credit expertise to the AGRIfinancial Services team. Don’s experience includes work in financial planning, investment management, marketing and correspondent lending. He currently leads the area of loan servicing and directs efforts in developing leadership in organization finance, correspondent relationships, credit committee work and secondary market expertise. He is co-founder of America Farm Mortgage and Ag Mortgage Company of America, early leaders in farm secondary market lending. Don holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Black Hills State College, Spearfish, SD and an MBA from Bellarmine University, Louisville, KY. Don’s career includes work for the Omaha Bank for Cooperatives, Louisville Bank for Cooperatives and the Farm Credit Bank of Louisville.

Bill Medley’s career in agricultural finance includes 28 years in marketing, sales, products and pricing development, and creating market strategies and campaigns. Bill joined AGRIfinancial Services in 2011 and is responsible for overall business development and guidance of sales staff, promotions, and alliances aimed to increase market penetration. That work includes fostering joint relationships with AFS’ sister company, Diversified Services – a risk management company and 7th largest crop insurance firm in the U.S. A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Bill has served as President of the Louisville, KY Ag Club, and has spoken to farm lending groups in the U.S. and Canada. His work includes sales training and developing programs in farm equipment lending and mortgage-based product options. Bill’s career also includes 10-years in journalism as a writer, photographer and newspaper editor.

Bill Lankswert’s career spans over 30 years in numerous agricultural finance and accounting disciplines. Joining AGRIfinancial Services in 2011, Bill is focusing on the development of financing relationships, sales tools, leasing strategies (particulary tax management issues) and evaluation of the companies. Previously, Bill worked within the Farm Credit System, and he has also advised other firms on issues such as 1031-exchange and FSA guarantee lending. Bill has led and/or provided guidance on significant initiatives, including tax management, funding, product, pricing and sales strategies. He holds a B.S in Accounting from the University of Louisville and an MBA from Bellarmine University and is a licensed CPA in Kentucky.

Sam Cooper offers more than 15 years of experience in agricultural lending in the South. He is a resident of the small town of Choudrant, near West Monroe, LA. Prior to joining AGRIfinancial Services in 2012, Sam has worked with row crop production, poultry, timber and other farming industries. His experience includes serving as branch manager for Southern Ag Credit in Arcadia and Farmerville, LA and work as Assistant VP and Branch Manager for the Louisiana Land Bank. Sam is a graduate of the University of Southern Louisiana at Lafayette, and completed Graduate School of Banking at LSU. Sam’s family also enjoys farming on a small scale and showing Brahman cattle.

Larry Eversole is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of experience in ag lending, managing loan portfolios and generating new market opportunities. Larry joined AGRIfinancial Services in 2012 after having served as a client relationship manager for Rabo AgriFinance for 13 years. His background includes lending experience within the Farm Credit System where he served as a VP of Ag Financing with FCS of Champaign, IL. Through his many years in agriculture, Larry has also worked as a grain merchandiser for CGB, and purchasing manager for Grain Systems, Inc. Raised on a grain farm in Illinois, Larry holds a degree in agribusiness economics from Southern Illinois University. He and his wife and family continue to live near the family farm and enjoy rural America.

Gene Charville offers over 35 years of experience in Ag lending and management. Gene was raised on a grain and general livestock farm in northern Ohio, and after receiving degrees in Agricultural Economics from Ohio State and an MBA from Bowling Green, he began a career lending to farmers. He has experience in financing livestock, poultry, grain, and other row crops, as well as many specialized farming operations. He has worked with both small family farms and large corporate farming enterprises. Over his career, Gene has held positions that include loan officer, branch manager and vice president. Prior to joining AGRIfinancial Services in 2013, he served 23 years as President & CEO of a Farm Credit institution. Gene and his wife live in Raleigh, NC.

John Dreckman provides more than 35 years experience in the insurance, mortgage banking and finance industry. Prior to joining AGRIfinancial Services in 2013, John originated farm loans and leases around the country. His finance background includes once owning and managing a mortgage company with offices in North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa. Andy Bishop was born and raised on a central Kentucky farm near where he still lives and farms today. Andy’s career began in 2007 when he joined Farm Credit as manager of its Bardstown, KY office. During that time, he built the customer base and its loan volume significantly. Andy left the financing business in 2011 and began developing his own cattle business. His farm near Fairfield, KY, focuses on raising calves from 400 to 600 weights. Andy holds both bachelors and masters degrees from Western Kentucky University in Agriculture Animal Science and Secondary Education with focus in Agriculture. He taught ag and served as FFA advisor at Westmoreland, TN High School from 2004-2007). He continues to be very involved with the Nelson County Cattlemen (as its president) and serves on the Kentucky Cattlemen’s Board of Directors. Andy joined AGRIfinancial Services in 2014. John Witt is a native Kentuckian who was born and raised on a hay and tobacco operation near Lexington. A graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture with a BS in Ag Economics, John has commercial banking and farm experience. For more than 10 years, in addition to his financing career, John raised and marketed his own tobacco and hay crops. “That kept me in in touch with the needs and challenges producers face every day,” he said. John continues to be active with the UK Ag College and was recently married in April, 2014. He and his wife, Casey, a clinical trial manager, now reside in Louisville. John joined AGRIfinancial Services in 2014 as leasing coordinator and is responsible for the smooth processing and handling of all lease requests under $250,000, including the coordination of our national relationship with Morton Building Co.

Kris Popson’s background managing a 2,000-acre row crop operation (Popson Farms) in Albia, IA is an asset allowing him to bring experience and knowledge in working with farm producers to meet their financial needs. Prior to managing the farm operation, Kris also served as a superintendent in the building construction arena with Popson/Crall Inc. whose projects included stores and schools, as well as large poultry facilities. Kris attended DesMoines Area Community College focusing in architectural drafting. But his real interest has always remained in farming and the challenges it brings. Josh Dickson is a native Kentuckian (Barren County) who has spent his entire life and career in agriculture. Today he helps direct sales staff and provides financial services directly to producers. Josh also coordinates our relationship with Hutson, one of the nation’s largest John Deere dealers, with 13 offices in KY, IL, IN and TN. A graduate of Western Kentucky University (BS in Ag Science), Josh spend college years working for Burkmann Feeds, a Glasgow, KY firm, selling and servicing accounts. After school, he joined Farm Credit in role as lending officer, eventually moving to the role of Assistant Regional Vice President. He has also worked as Commercial Lending Officer for South Central Bank in Glasgow. Josh and his wife, Stacey have a young son, Peyton, and a daughter, Reese. Mike Eubanks has been involved in lending to the agriculture industry for over 20 years as a Marketing President, Vice President, Sr. Ag Lender and Sr. Commercial lender. Josh Ollenberger is a native Californian who has spent his career in business and agriculture. Today, Josh serves our West Coast market (CA, OR, WA, AZ) from central quarters in Fresno, CA. He works with varied operations to provide mortgages, lines of credit and lease financing structures to citrus and vegetable growing industries, and well as financing to nut producers, wineries, dairies and others. Prior to coming to AFS, Josh served as CFO and Business Manager for Fresh Select LLC and Kozi Farming LLC of Dinuba, CA, where he was responsible for financial operations of combined growing and packing companies with $25 million in annual sales. His career includes working as an accountant for Bean Hunt Harris & Company in Fresno, with concentration on ag related accounts.
